Play Your Way to Wimbledon - 19+ Mens/Women's Doubles

This exciting competition, run in conjunction with the LTA and Vodafone, offers adult members of all levels, the opportunity to compete in either a ladies or men's doubles tournament, for the chance of a coveted place at the National Finals in August on the grass courts of the All England Club.

In order to qualify you need to:

- have an LTA Advantage membership
- be born in 2006 or earlier
- have a World Tennis Number(WTN) for doubles, between 25.0 and 40.9 (you will find this on the LTA website)

Sign up using this link and enter the name of your doubles partner.
There is a charge of £3 per person, to cover the cost of balls. 

Entries close on Wednesday 23rd April.

Winners will progress onto County finals on June 21st/22nd.

Pickleball Taster Session

Sunday 4th May, 2-4pm

We are excited to announce our inaugural Pickleball Taster session -  an excellent opportunity to learn the fastest-growing participation sport in Andover over the past year.

Led by Gary Kemp, Pickleball coach at Andover Leisure Centre, we are hoping this will be the first of many Pickleball sessions at the club.

The cost of the session is £5, including afternoon tea.

The Weekender

It may be the end of the weekend but it's the start of The Weekender, our new Sunday tennis mix-in!

With mini-tournaments and light refreshments provided, this FREE event open to Adult and Junior (A) members, is a great way to socialise and end the weekend in style.

This month we meet as the French Open begins - what better reason to get together on court and in the clubhouse, to celebrate the start of the second Grand Slam of the year!

There’s just 3 DAYS left to sign up for this Year’s Club Championship!

The deadline for entries is Wednesday April 16th.

Don’t miss out on your chance to compete for the coveted Club titles in your chosen category.

Competition draws will take place on Wednesday April 23rd, and published soon after, alongside the names of the mentors who will manage each event.

All competitions are based on a knockout system, with the winners of each match progressing through to the next round, and ultimately the finals.

Those not progressing after the first round will be entered into the Plate competition.

The deadlines for each round to be played, are as follows:

Round 1 - Sunday 18th May
Round 2 - Sunday 8th June
Round 3 - Sunday 29th June
Round 4 - Sunday 20th July

Finals day is Sunday 7th September

Celebration event for Bashir Kara

Please join us for a special event at the Club in memory of Bash.

This special event is open to all minis and juniors - please come along and enjoy a morning of fun tennis!

Bash's family will be presenting the new Bash Kara Cup to the Club with an inaugural presentation to its first recipient at around 9:45/10:00am.

This will be followed by a presentation of the memory book to the family.

The kitchen will be offering refreshments throughout the morning with all proceeds being donated to Naomi House & Jack's Place - Bash's chosen charity.

Adult Singles Ladder - ENTER NOW!

Be part of our brand new ADULT Singles Tennis Ladder, as we trail Clubmatch from 7th April, 2025 and throughout the coming season.

‘Clubmatch’ matches you with a new opponent every 2 weeks.

Based on your match result, your level is adjusted on the ladder to help find your next best match. At registration, you set your level and availability. When you are busy or injured you can skip rounds. You can stop and start any time during the season.

Matches are based on a 12 game total (normal deuces) within a one hour booking. The match can result in a win, loss or draw (6-6), and each player can register the score on the website/app. Match rules and further details of how the ladder works can be found within the ALTC section of the website by clicking on the ‘information’ icon.

Courts must be booked via the usual method at the published rate. Players must arrange to share the cost of the court booking and tennis balls.
